The Original Wedding Ring Course
The history: In 1981 Nik Stanbury created the Wedding Ring Course (now much copied but never bettered). The aim of the course was to enable couples to make high quality rings (surpassing shop bought quality) that may become heirlooms.
The course: Couples come along for a day course to make each other's wedding ring. All stages of the process are photographed and the rings will be finished in a single day. The course is comes with a guarantee that should you not succeed, any and all subsequent days are free of charge. In nearly thirty years this guarantee has never been used. A full pub lunch is included along with copious cups of tea, coffee and biscuits.
The materials: Silver, gold, palladium or platinum
The cost: £240 per couple, plus materials. The cost of materials can range from approximately £10 for a small silver ring to thousands for more expensive metals. Our course is competitively priced which allows couples to come from across the country (or even the world) and enjoy a stay in York or the surrounding area. We have an excellent relationship with one of our students who runs a bed and breakfast nearby. Full details of accommodation will be posted shorty.
